Jonathan Rice enters his first year as an assistant coach on the Massasoit men's basketball staff for the 2019-20 season

Prior to comeing to Massasoit, Rice served as an assistant coach for the Randolph High School Boy's Varsity Team that posted a 17-2 overall record in 2018-19. As part of the varsity coaching staff, Rice was in charge of scouting reports as Randolph captured the school's first-ever South Shore League Championship and advanced to the second round of the MIAA Division II Boy's Basketball State Championship. 

In addition to assisting the varsity squad, Rice also was the head coach of the Randolph Freshman Boy's Basketball Team, that tallied an impressive 14-1 record on the year. 

Rice has also spent time at the youth coaching level, assisting at both the Bridgewater Youth Basketball and Randolph Youth Basketball Associations. 

Along assisting the Massasoit men's basketball program, Rice is currently a coach for the Dana Barros Basketball Elite AAU program.
