LINCOLN, R.I. ---- The Massasoit women's soccer team fell on the road to the CCRI Knights, 7-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Lincoln campus.

Massasoit returns to the pitch on Thursday, hosting Bristol CC at 4 PM.

The Warriors (1-4) hung with the CCRI Division I program, trailing only 2-0 heading into the final minute of the opening period. But the Knights scored with just 11 seconds left in the first half to hold a 3-0 advantage at the break. Mercedes Faust scored the first two goals for CCRI.

The Knights (4-2) tacked on four more goals in the second half, two from Ciara Conway.

Goalie Kelly Cronin (Weymouth) made a career-high 18 saves in goal, as CCRI rocketed off 25 shots on goals.

Shelby Sprague paced the Warriors with four shots, three coming on net.
