BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Shelby Sprague (Stoughton) netted a career-high six goals as the Massasoit women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season in convincing fashion, defeating Bunker Hill CC 9-0 on Thursday afternoon at Warrior Field.
Sprague scored all of Massasoit's (1-2) four goals in the opening stanza and added two more after intermission.
Midfielder Krista Woodworth (Norton) netted a goal and a trio of assists, while Kelly Cronin (Weymouth) chipped in with a pair of goals in the win. Noelle Moliere (Brockton) added two assists for the Warriors, which travel to Holyoke CC on Saturday.
Cronin and Courtney Foley (Holbrook) combined on the shutout in goal as the Bulldogs did not register a shot against the Massasoit defense.
