BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit women's basketball team announced that student-athletes Nina Robinson, Shania Osborne, Daja Polk and Lyric Fortune have all earned scholarships and signed National Letters of Intent to four-year universities for the 2019-20 season.

"I am so excited and proud of these four as they make the next step both academically and athletically next year," head coach Mark Leszczyk said. "It is great that these four were able to complete the mission of what junior college athletics is all about and bridge the gap to quality four-year universities. I've witnessed these young women grow both as students and athletes and I am not only proud of what they accomplished this year, but excited to see what they accomplish at the next level."

Nina Robinson from Virginia Beach, Va., earned a scholarship to Saint Leo's University, an NCAA Division II program in Florida. The forward had a standout season in the post, as the sophomore averaged 16 points and 12.2 rebounds, while shooting 54.2 percent from the floor. For her efforts, Robinson earned First Team All-Region 21 accolades.

Shania Osborne and Daja Polk, both from Fairfield, Conn., will be heading to Stillman College, an NAIA Division I program in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The former high school teammates produced in a big way in their lone season with the Warriors. Osborne averaged 13.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and shot a blistering 60.1 percent, while Polk collected 18.7 points, 4.8 steals and 3.5 assists per contest. Osborne earned a spot on the First Team All-Region 21, while Polk was an honorable mention selection.

Lyric Fortune from Baltimore, Md., rounds out the foursome as the versatile guard is heading to Fisk University, an NAIA Division II program out of Nashville, Tenn. A high-energy player, Fortune averaged 9.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists for the Warriors during her one season donning the Green and White.
