FRANKLIN, Mass. ---- Tiana McQueen (Boston) posted a double-double, but Dean College defeated the Massasoit women's basketball team in convincing fashion, 109-21, on Thursday evening.

Massasoit (0-1) received a strong all-around game from McQueen, who finished with a team-high 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting. The sophomore and lone returner from last season's squad, added a career-high 15 rebounds, along with five blocks and three steals in the loss.

The Warriors, which only suited up five student-athletes in the season-opener, received five points and five assists from guard Lauren Callahan (Bourne). Olivia Curtin (Abington) added seven rebounds for the Warriors in the loss.

Next up for Massasoit is a contest at UCAP on Saturday at 3 p.m.
