BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Ashley Andrade (Randolph) nearly recorded a triple-double, but Dean College used a big second half to defeat the Massasoit women's basketball team, 90-59, on Thursday night.

Massasoit (0-1) finished with three players in double figures, led by Andrade's 20 points. In addition, the forward corralled a team-best 11 rebounds and collected seven swipes in the Warriors' season opener.

Also reaching double figures included Cynara Rustin (Boston) with 15 points, shooting an efficient 6-of-13 from the field. Marina Palladino (Carver) added 11 points and six assists.

Tiana Johnson (Brockton) filled up the box score with four points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals in the loss.

Massasoit hung right with the Bulldogs in the first half, trailing only 32-24 at intermission. However, Dean exploded for 58 points in the second stanza to just 35 by the Warriors to claim the victory.

The Warriors next game is slated for Saturday, Nov. 16 at Naval Prep in Rhode Island.
