BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit Community College softball team swept a doubleheader with Quinsigamond by scores of 20-4 and 15-1 on Monday afternoon.

Massasoit (8-8) hosts Northern Essex on Wednesday for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m.

Game 1: Massasoit 20, Quinsigamond 4 (5 innings)
Massasoit totaled 17 hits including three hit games from Marina Palladino (Carver), Taylor Richards (Walpole) and Kelly Sheehan (Stoughton) in a 20-4 victory.

Palladino added three runs and three RBI, Richards knocked in four and Alex Pohl (Middleboro) scored four times and collected three RBI.

Game 2: Massasoit 15, Quinsigamond 1 (5 innings)
The Warriors exploded for 13 runs in the bottom of the second inning to cruise to a 15-1 victory.

In the win both Palladino and Felicia Pezzano (Brockton) launched home runs. Palladino scored three times and knocked in two while Alex Pohl (Middleboro) collected three RBI and Ashley Pitts (Rockland) touched home for three runs.

Taylor Richards earned the win with five strikeouts in the circle for the Warriors.
