BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Maldini Da Fonseca (Brockton) recorded his first career hattrick as the Massasoit men's soccer team defeated MassBay, 4-1 at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (8-6-1) are off until Friday, when they travel to Holyoke CC for a 3:30 PM kickoff.

It was the visiting Buccaneers that struck first, when Kevin Garcia's shot from the top of the box deflected off a Warrior defender and in for the game's first goal in the ninth minute of action.

MassBay led until the 35^th minute, when Da Fonseca scored twice in just over a minute as the Warriors led 2-1 at intermission.

The Warriors held onto the slim one-goal advantage, until Da Fonseca tacked on his third goal in the 88^th minute and Mivando Alves (Brockton) scored in the 90^th minute to round out the scoring on the afternoon.

David Isaac (Haiti) made three saves in net for the Warriors.
