BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Mivando Alves (Brockton) scored a pair of goals, the first two of his collegiate career, as the Massasoit men's soccer team blanked Northern Essex, 4-0, at Warrior Field on Thursday afternoon.

Leonardo Teixeira (Brockton) also found the back of the net in the first half and Mario Barbosa (Holbrook) added a second half goal to round out the scoring.

Esteven Gomes, Helio Goncalves and Teixeira all added assists to the box score.

David Isaac of Haiti picked up his second shutout of the week and has allowed only one goal over the team's last four matches.

Massasoit will host a pair of games over the weekend, facing off against Southern Maine CC on Saturday and Bryant & Stratton on Sunday. Both matches are set to start at 1 PM.
