BROCKTON, Mass. --- In a physical contest throughout match, the Massasoit men's soccer team bested Mercer County CC, 2-0, on Saturday at Warrior Field.

Massasoit (12-4) has now won eight consecutive matches and has not lost in the month of October (7-0).

The Warriors had a couple of chances early on, but finally broke through in the 40th minute. Freshman Nathan Estrela (Falmouth) won a free ball at half field, and went all the way to the net, finishing for his first collegiate goal.

Mercer County continued to fight into the second half, and rifled off four shots and took two corners in the final five minutes of the game.

However, the Massasoit defense and goalkeeper Arthur McNally (Canton) held strong keeping the visitors scoreless. McNally finished with three saves.

Joel Lobo (Brockton) provided the icing on the cake for the Warriors, netting his team-best 18th goal with 17 seconds remaining off a pass from Junior DePina (Brockton). Lobo has now scored in all eight matches during the team's win streak.
