Myles Dias Picked To Men’s Basketball All-Region First Team

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Massasoit sophomore guard Myles Dias (Carver) was selected to the All-Region 21 Men's Basketball First Team, announced by the conference office on Monday.

Dias finished second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.2 points and really turned up his offensive game during the second half of the season. The 5-foot-10 shooting guard poured in 20.4 per game over the last 10 contests, posting six 20-plus point outings over that stretch.

The sophomore also averaged 2.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and shot 79.6 percent from the free throw line.

His most memorable moment, came in a double overtime victory at Roxbury on January 21. Trailing by three points, Dias buried a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game into overtime, in a game in which the Warriors eventually won 91-87.

Dias finished his career at Massasoit with a bang, scoring a career-high 29 points in a 78-71 loss against eventual Region 21 champion, Bunker Hill.
