Men's Results | Women's Results

WESTFIELD, Mass. ---- Kerry O'Neil (Stoughton) improved her season-best time by over one minute as the Massasoit men's and women's cross country teams raced in the 20th James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park.

"It was a great course and the team is very excited that we raced the trail before the NJCAA Nationals," head coach Matt Jordan said. "The team is really looking forward to competing in Nationals in November. The field featured six or seven other community colleges so we know where we stack up against the competition."

The NJCAA Nationals will be held at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass., on Nov. 7.

O'Neil placed 131st out of 409 runners on the women's side in the 5k race with a time of 21:29.33. She improved her time by 1:01 from the team's previous race, and clocked the second fastest time by a junior college female runner. She trailed only Sarah Carter of Hudson Valley CC, who finished in 21:27.51.

On the men's side, James Sepulveda (Brockton/Southeastern Voc.) placed 264th and Zach Arnold (Plymouth/Plymouth South HS) claimed 334th out of 373 total runners. Sepulveda posted a time of 31:45.94, while Arnold finished in 35:33.41 in the 8k race.
