BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit volleyball team captured its fifth consecutive 3-0 sweep, knocking off the visiting Bunker Hill Bulldogs (25-13, 25-13, 25-11) in straight sets at the Asiaf Field House.

Massasoit's record improved to 8-2 overall on the season, thanks to the recent five-match win streak.

As a team, the Warriors posted an impressive .367 attacking percentage, as seven different student-athletes recorded at least one kill each. Massasoit also posted 23 service aces, with Lexi Frithsen (West Bridgewater), Caroline Curtis (Holbrook) and Emmanuella Paul (Brockton) each ripping six aces apiece.

Colleen Luongo (Plymouth) paced Massasoit with an even .500 hitting clip, rocketed seven kills on 10 attempts with only two errors and Frithsen and Delaney Nagel (Stoughton) each slammed down five kills.

To go along with her six aces, Paul also dished out 16 assists and corralled six digs in the victory.

Massasoit hosts Holyoke on Wednesday at 7 PM.
