Bristol Bests Women’s Soccer In Double OT, 3-2

FALL RIVER, Mass. ---- Erin Bosse intercepted an attempted clear out pass and buried a shot from just outside the box in the 105th minute to give Bristol CC the 3-2 double overtime victory against the visiting Massasoit women's soccer team.

Massasoit received two goals from sophomore Shelby Sprague (Stoughton) to give the striker a total of 50 over her two year career. She has scored exactly 25 goals in each season with the Warriors.

The Warriors (6-8) trailed 2-1 at the break as Marieta Pin netted a goal at the 36 minute mark to give the host Bayhawks the lead at intermission.

Despite playing with only 10 players for the entire match, Massasoit hung around and in the 75th minute, Sprague netted her second goal of the day off a pass from Mariella McEachern (Marshfield) to square up the score, 2-2.

The game ended regulation tied and after one scoreless overtime period, Bristol would strike off Bosse's goal in the 105th minute for the golden goal.

Massasoit returns to the pitch on Wednesday, hosting Quinsigamond at 4 PM.
