SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ---- Shelby Sprague (Stoughton) posted her fifth multi-goal performance of the season, finding the back of the net twice in a 3-1 road victory at Springfield Tech on Saturday.

The win ups Massasoit's record to 5-0-1 as the Warriors went a perfect 3-0 for the week.

Sprague scored both of her goals in the first half in the 11^th and 37^th minutes off passes from teammates Delmy Brooks (Brockton) and Silvia Sosa (New Milford, N.J.). Sprague's goals accounted for all the scoring in the opening stanza as the Warriors held a 2-0 lead at the break.

On the year, Sprague now has a team-best 14 goals, with five multi-goal outings in six total team matches.

STCC notched its first goal of the contest, when Gennelle Corbett connected on a breakaway in the 56^th minute to slice the Massasoit cushion to just one goal.

But, the Warriors answered right back as Brooks scored on a breakaway of her own just three minutes later to round out the scoring.

Massasoit returns to the pitch on Monday, hosting Bunker Hill at 4 p.m.
