Women’s Basketball Moves Up to No. 2 in NJCAA Rankings

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit women's basketball team moved up one slot to hold the No. 2 ranking in the most recent NJCAA Division III Women's Basketball poll announced on Tuesday. The Warriors have now been ranked in 21 consecutive polls dating to last season.

Massasoit boasts a perfect 13-0 record after defeating Cecil College (NJCAA DII from Maryland) and Prince George's Community College (Maryland) last week. The Warriors knocked off Cecil 83-60 prior to defeating then 15th-ranked Prince George's, 79-55.

During the 2019-20 campaign, the Warriors have been ranked in every poll, opening the year preseason ranked No. 4 before moving into the No. 3 spot from Nov. 11 until Tuesday.

Massasoit travels to Bristol Community College on Thursday prior to hosting Union County College, a NJCAA Division II program from New Jersey on Saturday.
