BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Massasoit Community College women's basketball head coach Mark Leszczyk was named WHoopDirt.com Junior College Coach of Week recently announced by the college basketball website.
Leszczyk won his 300th collegiate coaching game on Saturday as the Warriors defeated Bunker Hill to improve to 4-0 on the young season. Massasoit went 2-0 last week, defeating Roxbury along with the Bulldogs.
In his short time in Brockton, Leszczyk has posted a record of 25-3 overall. He made coaching stops at Roxbury CC and Dean College prior to coming to Massasoit.
Massasoit has also been ranked all four weeks this year, climbing to its current ranking at No. 3 in the NJCAA polls. In total, the Warriors have been ranked for 15 consecutive weeks dating back to last season.
