Dias, Silva-Moore & Knight Earn Nod On WBB All-Region Teams

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- A trio of Massasoit women's basketball players, Tati Dias, Geornaisha Silva-Moore and Monica Knight were named All-Region 21 selections announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Dias earned a spot on the All-Region 21 First Team, leading the Warriors in scoring (13.1 ppg) and assists per game (5.2) on the season. The steady point guard also grabbed 5.0 rebounds per game and scored in double figures in 14 of 20 games on the season. Dias poured in a season-high 28 points in a contest vs. Bristol, in which she netted 18 points in the third quarter alone.

Earning a nod on the second team was sophomore guard Silva-Moore, who also filled up the box score, averaging 13.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game. The Brockton native finished in double figures in 18 of 21 games played and scored 20-or-more points on three occasions, featuring a 21-point performance to Roxbury in the Region 21 Semifinals.

Freshman Monica Knight of Halifax joined Dias and Silva-Moore earning postseason accolades, being a honorable mention selection for the Warriors. The center was a force in the paint, racking up double-doubles all season long. Knight ended the year with point and rebound averages of 12.4. In total, she corralled double-digit boards in 17 of 22 games and tallied a career-best effort vs. Roxbury in the MCCAC Finals, with 24 points and 16 rebounds.
