BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The No. 1 ranked Roxbury Tigers utilized a big first half to separate itself from the Massasoit women's basketball team, as the Warriors fell 87-50 on Tuesday night.
Roxbury (13-1) led 24-11 at the first quarter and saw that lead balloon to 43-19 at intermission.
Massasoit (7-5) was led by Sierra Johnson's (Brockton) 16 points, followed by Geornaisha Silva-Moore (Brockton) with 11. Tati Dias (Brockton) added nine points, all coming in the first quarter.
The Tigers featured a balanced attack, with eight of nine players scoring eight or more points. Brooklin Davis topped Roxbury with 15 points.
Massasoit treks to Gateway on Saturday for 1 PM contest.
