SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ---- The Massasoit women's basketball team featured another balanced scoring attack as the Warriors rolled past Springfield Tech, 90-41, on Saturday.
Massasoit (5-3, 4-2) saw all eight players score six or more points, led by Monica Knight's (Halifax) game and career-high 22 on 11 of 14 shooting.
Natascha Elias (Brockton) netted 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including three 3s and Cynthia Laing (Boston) made 6-of-7 shots en route to 12 points.
As a team, the Warriors shot 57.1 percent (40 of 70) and dished out 27 assists.
Geornaisha Silva-Moore (Brockton) nearly recorded a triple-double, totaling eight points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
Massasoit scored 19 or more points in every quarter and held a 50-19 lead at intermission.
Jamie Staples led STCC in scoring, netting 34 of the team's 41 points.
The Warriors host No. 9 Gateway on Saturday at 1 PM.
