WARWICK, R.I. ---- The Massasoit women's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest to Tohono O'odham CC (Arizona), 70-40, on the campus of CCRI.

Next up for Massasoit (4-6) is the NHTI Tournament held in Concord, N.H. from Jan. 9-10.

The Warriors fell behind 35-19 at the break and was unable to make up much ground in the second half. Massasoit outscored the Jegos in the third, 15-14, but Tohono responded in the fourth with a 21-6 run to close out the contest.

Tatiana Dias (Brockton) reached double figures for the eighth consecutive game, finishing with a team-high 13 points. She added eight assists and three steals.

Natascha Elias (Brockton) sank three 3s to account for her nine points, while Laura Malley (Halifax) pulled down 10 boards in the loss.

Massasoit struggled from the field, shooting 30.4 percent (14 for 46) overall and 23.5 percent (4 for 17) from 3-point range.
