Softball Cruises Past Northern Essex In DH Sweep

HAVERHILL, Mass. ---- The Massasoit softball offense exploded on Saturday afternoon, winning 21-2 and 15-6 in a pair of five-inning games at Northern Essex.

Massasoit evened up its record to 4-4 on the season and will host Quinsigamond CC in a doubleheader on Sunday in Brockton slated to begin at Noon.

"We hit the ball really well today," head coach Sandy Lombardi said. "We had hard hits and even a lot of our outs were line drives right at somebody. The offense got the job done today to get two much needed wins."

"Taylor did a great job out there for us again," Lombardi said. "Like I have said before, she is a warrior on the mound for us and keeps us in games."
