CHARLESTOWN, Mass. ---- Sidney Cardoso (Portugal) and Ienik Spencer (Pawtucket, R.I.) scored second half goals with a minute of each other to propel the Massasoit men's soccer past Bunker Hill CC, 3-1, on Wednesday afternoon.

Massasoit improved to 4-3-1 on the season and hosts Essex County CC on Saturday at 3 PM.

Despite the victory, head coach Rui Estrela expressed that his team did not play to its full potential for a full 90 minutes.

"Overall I thought we played pretty poorly," Estrela said. "We went into the game with no emotion and played very flat. We did pick it up in the second half but still not up to par where we should be at this point in the season. There was a lack of leadership, aggression and pride on the field."

Massasoit would strike first in the contest as Cardoso continued his scoring spree, netting a pass from Spencer in the 18th minute.

The Bulldogs would answer, as Eymar Principie's goal in the 28th minute brought the game square.

After the break, Carodo would score yet again in the 53rd minute with an assist going to Deivys D'Almeida (New Bedford). The Warriors would tack on an insurance goal less than a minute later as Spencer scored off a pass from Cardoso.

Ollie Dagraca (Brockton) made four saves in goal for Massasoit.
