William Baah Heading To Bloomfield College

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Massasoit men's soccer defender William Baah signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Division II Bloomfield College, located Bloomfield, N.J.

Baah was the backbone of the Warrior defense during his two-year stay with the Warriors, serving as the team's sweeper for both seasons and captain his sophomore campaign. The Pawtucket, R.I., native was named to the NSCAA All-Southeast Region Second Team after Massasoit advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time in 20 years.

"What a pleasure it was to coach William for two years," head coach Rui Estrela said. "He is a very respectful, hard-working young man who always gives his all. He has been a star at Massasoit both on the field and in the classroom. William knows what he wants and knows how to hard to work to reach his goals.

"He will be greatly missed and was an icon at Massasoit. I can only hope to find another William someday. We wish him all the best moving on to play at Bloomfield."

Over the past two seasons, the Baah led Warrior defense tallied 15 shutouts, including eight during the 2015 campaign.

In Baah's two seasons, the Warriors posted a 27-13-1 record and a pair of Region 21 Championships.

Bloomfield captured the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Championship this past fall, finishing with an overall record of 11-6-2.
