BROCKTON, Mass. ---- A total of 28 Massasoit Community College student-athletes maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year.
"We are so proud of our student-athletes for setting an example by succeeding first in school along with their respected sport," Athletics Director Julie Mulvey said. "We hope that both academics and athletics set a strong foundation for our student-athletes to continue to succeed in the future."
The men's soccer team boasted the most players on the honor roll with nine, followed by the baseball team with eight student-athletes.
The top overall GPA for the semester for a male student-athlete went to men's soccer player Lorinc Vincze, who maintained a 3.92 GPA. The top GPA for a female student-athlete was 3.50, recorded by women's soccer player Katie Arnold.
