McMorrow Posts Third-Straight Round in 70s; Tied For 10th Overall at Nationals

CHAUTAUQUA, New York ---- For the third-straight day, Massasoit's Chris McMorrow (Weymouth) shot in the 70s at the NJCAA Men's Golf National Tournament as he carded a 78 (+6) on Thursday afternoon at Chautauqua Country Club.

McMorrow, who has posted sub-80 scorecards in five of his career seven rounds at Nationals, currently sits tied for 10th overall with a three-day total of 233 (76+79+78=233) and is +17 for the tourney.

The Weymouth native trails the leader by 11 strokes entering the fourth and final round on Friday.

McMorrow is vying to become Massasoit's first-ever NJCAA All-American in men's golf, as the top-18 finishers earn the distinct honor. He would also become the first All-American from Region 21 since Greg Strattner of Holyoke CC finished runner up at the 2008 Nationals.
