BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit men's basketball team had 10th-ranked Quincy College on the hot seat through much of the first half, but the Granite pulled away in the second half for the 96-66 victory.
Massasoit drops to 2-6 on the season and hosts Quinsigamond on Thursday to close out the fall semester portion of the schedule.
The Warriors trailed Quincy (7-0) by just two with under two-minutes to play, but the Granite used an 8-0 run to close out the half to lead 45-35 at the break. That end of the first half momentum carried over for Quincy in the second half to cruise to victory.
Nathaniel Semedo (Bridgewater) led four Warriors in double-figures with 16. Taymien Chery (Brockton) netted 15, followed by 13 from Bryan Tyree (Hanson) and 10 from Gilbert Minaya (Lynn).
