BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Mark Georges (Avon) and Jose Andrade (Brockton) each poured in career-high point totals as the Massasoit men's basketball team held off Roxbury, 89-78, on Tuesday night.
Massasoit improved to 14-5 on the season with the victory and has now won 10 straight at home.
Georges finished with a career and game high 26 points, 15 in the first half, along with draining a trio of 3s in the win. Andrade scored 15 for a career-high, while Rael Handy (Easton) added 19 points and Mark Munroe (Quincy) 16 to round the double digit scorers.
The Warriors led 46-40 at the break.
RCC (6-14) made 10 3-pointers in the contest, five coming from Imer Ortiz who finished with a team-high 21 points. Lawrence Cherry added 20 points in the loss.
Massasoit faces UConn-Avery Point on the road this Thursday at 8 PM.
