Warriors Blow Past Holyoke for Sixth Straight Victory, 94-46

BROCKTON, Mass. ----- Mark Georges (Avon) poured in a career-high 24 points and fellow sophomore Mark Munroe (Quincy) added 20 as the Massasoit men's basketball team captured its sixth straight win, beating Holyoke 94-46 on Saturday afternoon.

The six-game win streak marks the longest by Massasoit since the second semester of the 2011-12 season, when the Warriors won eight straight as part of a 20-4 season.

Holyoke (1-9, 1-7) hung around in the first half, but a Munroe tip in to beat the halftime buzzer sent the Warriors up 42-26 at the break.

In the second half it was all Massasoit (6-3, 6-3) as the home squad outscored the visiting Cougars 52-20 after intermission.

Also reaching double figures for the Warriors included Rollsky Edouard of Holbrook with 15 and Rael Handy of Easton with 12. In total nine of the 10 players that saw game action scored for the Warriors.

HCC was led by DeVante Wardell's 14 points.
