HAVERHILL, Mass. ---- The Massasoit men's basketball team placed five players in double figures on its way to a 89-77 road victory at Northern Essex on Thursday night.
The win marked the fourth in a row for the Warriors, which are now winners of seven of their last eight and sit at 12-5 overall on the season.
Jovani Harper-Lopez (Randolph) buried a career-high five 3-pointers as part of his team-best 19 points against the Knights. Four of his 3s came in the first half and he added seven rebounds and four assists.
Mike Ward (Brockton), the reigning NJCAA National Player of the Week, poured in 18 points and added five rebounds. Fellow post player Mark Munroe (Quincy) netted 14 and Devante Davis (Everett) scored 10.
Ian Wade (Brockton) came up big in the second half, scoring all 14 of his points after intermission, featuring four 3s and Connor Schaefer (Bourne) chipped in with eight points.
