BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Despite 45 combined points from backcourt mates Paul Bentley (Bloomfield, Conn.) and Myles Dias (Carver), the Massasoit men's basketball team fell to Quinsigamond, 84-71, on Tuesday night.
Bentley finished with a game-high 26 points and Dias added 19, including a perfect 9-for-9 at the foul line.
Massasoit fell behind 40-30 at the break and could not catch up to the Wyverns in the second half.
Danny Longmore (Bloomfield, Conn.) came off the bench to score 12 points and John Barbosa (Brockton) added nine in the loss.
Quinsigamond shot 60 percent from the floor and went 9-of-22 from 3-point range.
The Warriors host Northern Essex on Thursday at 5 p.m.
