CHARLESTON, Mass. ---- A second half rally came up short for the Massasoit men's basketball team, falling on the road to Bunker Hill, 94-85, Thursday night.

Leland Jackson (Atlanta, Ga.) posted a game-high 27 points and Colin Campbell (Holbrook) netted 22 as the Warriors dropped to 2-3 on the season. Jackson kept Massasoit in the game down the stretch, scoring 23 of his points in the second half.

"The guys played really tough tonight," head coach Jim Stapleton said. "We were without our regular point guard and Leland (Jackson) got in foul trouble early. We made a great comeback and made Bunker Hill sweat a little bit, but a few bad turnovers late did us in."

The Warriors trailed 43-31 at the half, but made a run at it after intermission.

Massasoit was able to stay within striking distance for most of the second half and pulled within five, 88-83, after a Jackson free throw with 1:04 remaining in the contest.

Unfortunately, the Bulldogs closed out the final minute on a 6-2 run and sank free throws to close out the game.

Jashawn Houston (Randolph) added 10 points for Massasoit.

Bunker Hill featured a balanced scoring attack as five players reached double figures, led by Kevon Young's 25 points.
