HAVERHILL, Mass. ---- Behind three double-digit scorers and shooting 52.1 percent as a team, the Massasoit men's basketball team rolled past Northern Essex, 70-46 on Thursday evening.

Massasoit (8-10, 8-9) snapped a three-game road losing streak. Leading 36-29 at the break, the Warriors outscored the Knights by 17 after intermission to cruise to victory.

Trey Jones (Mattapan) led Massasoit in scoring, pouring in a game-high 26 points. It marked the sixth time this season Jones has netted 25 or more points in a game. He added five assists and five steals.

Jahleel Moise (Brockton) also produced a solid all-around game for the Warriors. The sophomore finished with 18 points on an efficient 8-for-12 shooting, along with eight boards and nine blocks.

Rounding out the double figure scorers for Massasoit was point guard William Baker of Brockton. Baker finished with 10 points and seven assists.

Massasoit committed just nine turnovers and dished out 17 team assists in the victory.

The Warriors are off until Tuesday, when they host rival Dean College at 8 p.m.
