Men’s Basketball Fires Past Holyoke, 82-46

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Mike Ward and Jahleel Moise, both from Brockton, each posted double-doubles as the Massasoit men's basketball team cruised to an 82-46 victory on Saturday afternoon.

The win for Massasoit snapped a three-game losing streak, as the Warriors improved to 6-8 on the season.

Ward finished 9-of-14 from the field, scoring 15 of his game-high 19 in the opening half. The freshman also pulled down 11 rebounds, seven on the offensive glass.

Moise filled up the stat sheet, yet again, with 12 points, 10 boards and seven rejections. He also added three assists and a pair of steals.

Also reaching double figures included Trey Jones of Mattapan with 14 and Leland Jackson (Brockton) with 16.

Massasoit, which led comfortably at the half, 38-23, shot 45.7 percent from the floor from the game and pulled down 42 team rebounds (16 offensive) in the victory.

The Warriors return to the hardwood on Thursday, with a trip to Roxbury CC. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
