Offense Explodes For Men’s Hoops In 93-52 Victory

HOLYOKE, Mass. ---- The Massasoit men's basketball team shot a season-best 52.1 percent from the floor and three players scored in double figures as the Warriors cruised to a 93-52 win at Holyoke CC on Saturday.

Massasoit (2-4) trailed 17-10 early in the first half, but would take control and hold a 49-24 edge at the break. The Warriors would lead the rest of the way to snap a four-game losing streak.

Trey Jones (Mattapan) topped the Warriors with 27 points and added eight assists and six rebounds. Jones made 12 of 21 shots on the afternoon.

Leland Jackson (Brockton) came off the bench to net 24 on 11-of-19 shooting, and defensive menace Jahleel Moise (Brockton) nearly posted his second triple-double of the week. The sophomore recorded 18 points, on 7-of-9 shooting, to go along with eight boards and 11 blocks.

As a team, the Warriors made 38 of 73 attempts (52.1 percent) and only turned the ball over 10 times in the victory.

Massasoit hosts Roxbury CC on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
