Eight-Run Fourth Inning Propels Massasoit Baseball to Victory at Holyoke

HOLYOKE, Mass. ---- The Massasoit baseball team batted around in the top of the fourth inning, scoring eight times, propelling the Warriors to a 13-3 victory at Holyoke on Thursday afternoon. 

Battling for a playoff spot in next month's Region 21 Tournament, the Warriors upped their record to 7-17 overall and 3-7 in league play and will face divisional foe Quinsigamond on the road this Saturday. 

Massasoit finished with 14 hits as all nine starters scored a run and eight of nine recorded at least one base hit.  

Aidan O'Neill (Halifax) went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI and Josh Truehart (Brockton) went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish. Ian Nadeau (Brockton) launched his first career round tripper, going 2-for-2 with three RBI as well. 

Francisco Navarro of Panama improved to 3-5 on the season by going the distance. The righty allowed three runs, two earned, off five hits and fanned 10 to earn the victory.  

Knotted 1-1, Nadeau launched his two-run blast in the top of the third as part of a three-run inning prior to the flood gates opening in the fourth.
