WARWICK, Rhode Island --- The Massasoit baseball team dropped a road contest at CCRI, 10-0, on Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors (6-13, 2-5 R21) were deadlocked with CCRI in a scoreless tie, until the Knights (16-10, 9-1) pushed across a run in the third. CCRI then tacked on three runs in the fifth to break the game open.

Ian Nadeau (Brockton) reached base safely in all three plate appearances, going 2-for-2 in the loss.

Daryl Lopes (0-2) of New Beford suffered the loss, but pitched well in his first collegiate start. The southpaw went the first three frames, surrendering only one run off one hit, fanning four and walking three.

Massasoit is salted to play at Northern Essex on Saturday for a doubleheader, but due to inclement weather in the forecast, scheduling changes could occur.
