Massasoit Offense Explodes in 17-1 Road Win at NHTI

CONCORD, N.H. —— Aidan O'Neill, Luke DiTondo and Ian Nadeau all ripped three hits each as the Massasoit baseball team produced at the plate on the way to a 17-1 win at NHTI.

The victory improved the Warriors to 4-10 on the season and will return to regional play on Saturday with a road doubleheader at Bunker Hill.

O'Neill of Halifax went 3-for-4 with a triple and knocked in two, DiTondo of Marshfield went 3-for-5 with a double and Nadeau of Brockton was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI as the top three hitters in the lineup accounted for nine of Massasoit's 15 hits in five innings of action.

Josh Truehart (Brockton) had a career day at the plate of his own as the freshman catcher went 2-for-3 with three RBI and fellow Brockton native Richie Wood went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Jonathan O'Donnell of Hull tallied three RBI for the winners

On the mound, Massasoit received a strong start from James Sneyd (1-1). The righty fanned five and walked just one, allowing just one run on four hits in four innings of work. D.J. Lopes of New Bedford pitched a perfect frame to close out the win.
