Game 1: Middlesex County 15, Massasoit 6
Middlesex County scored eight times in the top of the first, which provided more than enough cushion for the 15-6 victory.

Massasoit received 5.2 innings of relief work from Ryan Stover (Middleboro) after starter Francisco Navarro (0-1) of Panama, left after one inning on the bump.

Ian Nadeau went 2-for-4 at the dish and knocked in two, while Jonathan O'Donnell (Hull) recorded two RBI as well in the loss. Richie Wood (Brockton) also scored twice.

The Cougars, which transitioned from a NJCAA Division III program to Division II in 2019, jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first. Lehigh Carbon's first seven batters reached to start the game, highlighted by a slicing two-run double to left by Travis Schreiner and never looked back.

Offensively, Wood laced an RBI double, Nadeau went 1-for-2 with a run scored and one RBI and O'Neill scored and ripped a double.

Jason Couto (Assonet) was tagged with the loss, giving up only two earned runs in three frames of work.
