CONCORD, N.H. ---- The Massasoit baseball team made quick work of a doubleheader at NHTI on Sunday, winning 13-0 and 12-1 at the NHTI Baseball Field.

The two victories improved the Warriors record to 9-10 overall and have now gone 8-4 since returning from their spring break trip.

Game 1: Massasoit 13, NHTI 0 (5 Innings)

Warrior starter Jake Morris allowed only two hits in five frames to earn the complete game shutout and earn Massasoit a game one victory.

Morris struck out four and walked only one in his five frames on the hill as the Bourne native improved to 2-1 on the season.

Offensively, the Warriors got on the board in the top of the first before exploding for 11 runs in the second inning to put the game out of reach early.

Leadoff man Luke Lewando (Brockton) went 2-for-3, scored two runs and knocked in four, with three of the RBI coming on a bases clearing double.

Massasoit finished with 11 hits as a team, with Luis Ramirez (Dedham), Bryan Dwyer (Abington), Dylan Ashburn (Norton) and Nick Andrews (Raynham) all collecting two base knocks a piece.

All nine starters scored at least one run in the win.

Game 2: Massasoit 12, NHIT 1 (5 Innings)

In game two it was more of the same for the Warriors, as they received another stellar pitching performance, this time from Luke Lewando, and did plenty of damage offensively.

The freshman lefty Lewando (2-0) went the distance, giving up just one run off three singles, while striking out four and not issuing a free pass. He also helped himself at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI.

Massasoit jumped out early, touching home three times in the top of the first. After adding on a single run in the third off a solo homer from Ricky Sherlock (Whitman), Massasoit opened the flood gates in the fourth with seven runs. In the big fourth frame, at one point the Warriors collected eight consecutive hits.

The Warriors finished with 14 hits in the contest, as Dwyer went 2-for-3, scoring twice and knocking in three and Sherlock collected two hits and scored twice.
