Paula “Roly” Landers enters her 23rd year as part of the Massasoit Community College Athletics Department.

Landers, who joined Massasoit in 1986 as a counselor, currently works with the student-athletes as the Athletics Department Academic Coordinator and Compliance Officer under her official title as Associate Athletics Director. She assists Athletic Director Julie Mulvey in making sure Massasoit follows all rules and regulations put forth by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

In addition, Landers works with Massasoit professors to make sure the student-athletes are not only staying eligible but making progress towards their degrees.

Landers also serves as the Pool Operator where she oversees the Massasoit swimming pool in the Peter Asiaf Field House. She supervises all lifeguards and maintains the pool on a day-to-day basis.

Prior to joining the Athletics Department, Landers served in the Latch program from 1986-87 as a counselor and later in the Advisement and Counseling Center from 1987-1990. She then took the position as Freshman Seminar Coordinator before moving to the Athletic Department in 1993.

Landers received her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education and later a Master’s degree in Counseling from Bridgewater State College.

She resides in Plymouth, Mass., with her husband Steve. The couple has two grown children, Mike and Jamie.
