CHARLESTOWN, Mass. ---- Freshmen Anya Welch-Batstone (Avon) and Samantha Baston (Carver) combined for seven goals as the Massasoit women's soccer team defeated Bunker Hill, 10-0, on Monday afternoon.

Welch-Batstone continued her torrid freshman campaign, by netting a career-high four goals to help improve the Warriors to 5-2-1 (5-1-0 R21) on the season. The Avon native has now scored at least one goal in seven of eight games played this year, including multiple goals in five consecutive matches.

Baston netted a hat trick of her own and dished out an impressive five assists as the freshman was involved in eight of Massasoit's 10 goals on the day.

Dineida Gomes (Brockton) added a pair of goals, Jane Riley (Bridgewater) scored her first collegiate goal and Alex Santos (Whitman) dished out two assists in the victory.

Katie Amado produced another stellar outing in net, making four saves en route to her fourth shutout of the season.
