CONCORD, N.H. ---- The Massasoit women's soccer team earned a 3-3 tie at New Hampshire Technical Institute on Wednesday afternoon, behind a pair of goals from Anya Welch-Batstone.

The Warriors (3-2-1) built up 3-2 lead at the half against the Lynx (4-0-1), a team that was previously 4-0 and had outscored its opposition 17-1 in its previous four contests.

Welch-Batstone of Avon netted two goals in the first hald, while Samantha Baston (Carver) also found the back of the net in the opening stanza. Baston and Alex Santos (Whitman) were credited with assists on the play.

NHTI scored late in the second half as the match eventually ended in a 3-3 tie.

In net, Katie Amado (Whitman) made 13 saves for the Warriors.

Massasoit hosts rival Holyoke CC on Saturday at 1 PM.
