­Cronin, Sprague & Woodworth Headline Six Warriors On All-Region Teams

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- A total of six members of the Massasoit women's soccer team were named to the NJCAA All-Region 21 teams, including Kelly Cronin (Weymouth), Shelby Sprague (Stoughton) and Krista Woodworth (Norton) earning spots on the region's first team.

Freshmen Noelle Moliere (Brockton) and Emily White (Plympton) earned the nod on the region's second team and Deja Houston (Taunton) was an honorable mention selection.

Massasoit finished the season 7-8-1 overall, falling in the Region 21 Tournament semifinals in penalty kicks to Springfield Tech.

SHELBY SPRAGUE, So., F, Stoughton, Mass. – 1st Team All-Region 21
Sprague was one of the nation's top offensive weapons during her two years at Massasoit. In her sophomore campaign, Sprague scored 30 goals, topping Region 21 and ranking third in the nation. She also added six assists to give her 66 points, also ranking third in the country. She finished her illustrious career with 55 goals, 10 assists for 120 points. This marks Sprague's second All-Region 21 First Team selection.

KRISTA WOODWORTH, So., MF, Norton, Mass. – 1st Team All-Region 21
Woodworth put forth an impressive sophomore season for the Warriors, scoring 11 goals and adding 15 assists (37 points). A two-year central midfielder, Woodworth's assist total ranks second in the nation, setting up teammate Sprague on countless occasions. For her career, the two-time All-Region 21 First Team selection finished with 20 goals and 25 assists (65 points).

KELLY CRONIN, Fr., GK, Weymouth, Mass. – 1st Team All-Region 21
In her first season ever playing goalie, Cronin earned a spot on the All-Region 21 First Team. The freshman led the league with 122 saves and totaled three shutouts on the season. She produced seven games of double-digit saves, including 22 in a match vs. Holyoke. Cronin also saw action in the field, netting three goals and adding an assist.

NOELLE MOLIERE, Fr., D, Brockton, Mass. – 2nd Team All-Region 21
A versatile player, Moliere saw action all over the field for the Warriors, seeing time at forward, midfield, defense and even goalie. Primarily a defender, Moliere still finished with the third most points on the team (15) scoring four goals and dishing out seven assists. Moliere scored Massasoit's lone goal in the 1-1 tie against STCC in the Region 21 semifinals.

EMILY WHITE, Fr., D, Plympton, Mass. – 2nd Team All-Region 21
White started 15 of 16 games for the Warriors as a mainstay in the team's defense. In her first season at Massasoit, White helped the team post six team shutouts.

DEJA HOUSTON, Fr., D, Taunton, Mass. – Honorable Mention All-Region 21
Houston also started 15 of 16 games as a defensive back for the Warriors. She was a key cog in the Warriors defense and also recorded one assist on the season.
