Spencer & Sprague Named NSCAA Players of the Week

BROCKTON, Mass. ---- Shelby Sprague (Stoughton) and Ienik Spencer (Pawtucket, R.I.) were recently named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Junior College Players of the Week for men's and women's soccer.

Sprague reached the 100 career point mark last week, totaling five points in guiding the Warriors to a 1-1 record. The sophomore started the week with a goal and assist in a 4-0 shutout on the road against the Monroe College JV team. The striker then scored the team's lone goal in a 3-1 loss at Springfield Tech.

For the season, Sprague has a team-high 30 goals and five assists for 65 points. Her 30 goals is tied for second amongst NJCAA Division III players. For her two-year career, Sprague has tallied 55 goals and nine assists for 119 points.

Spencer netted two goals and adding an assist in a 5-0 blanking of Springfield Tech last Saturday. The two goals marked the sophomore-transfer's fifth multi-goal performance of the season. On the year, Spencer has 12 goals and six assists in 13 games in his first year donning the Massasoit uniform.
