BROCKTON, Mass. ----- Freshmen Nakedria Turner and Tonaja Lester of the Massasoit women's basketball team were both named First Team All-Region 21 selections for their efforts on the court announced by region officials.

Turner, who was also named Region 21 Co-Player of the Year, ended her freshman campaign by averaging 17 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game. She scored in double figures in 13 of 14 games played and surpassed the 20-point plateau in four contests. Her points and steals per game averages both ranked second in the region. The Georgia native closed out the season with a career-high 32 points in a Region 21 Tournament semifinal loss to CCRI.

Lester finished fourth in the league in scoring average, netting 14.1 points per game and also averaged 5.6 rebounds. The South Carolina native posted double digit scoring efforts in 11 of 14 games played. Lester produced a career-high 27-point effort vs Quinsigamond, and in a game vs UCAP buried six 3-pointers in a victory.
