BROCKTON, Mass. ---- The Massasoit women's basketball team improved to a perfect 4-0 on Thursday night, forcing Bunker Hill into 33 turnovers on the way to a decisive 104-40 victory at The Pete in Brockton.

The suffocating Warrior defense forced Bunker Hill (2-2, 1-1 R21) into several early miscues as Massasoit jumped out to a commanding 34-8 advantage after one quarter of action and never looked back leading wire-to-wire on Thursday night.

Freshman Ky'Jae Hargrove (New Haven, Conn.) continued her impressive play from the point guard position, finishing with a game and career-high 33 points on an efficient 13 of 18 shooting from the floor.

Sophomores Nina Robinson of Virginia Beach, Va.,  (22 points, 16 rebounds) and Lyric Fortune of Baltimore, Md.,  (13 points, 12 rebounds) each finished with double-doubles as Massasoit finished with 71 total rebounds for the contest.

Fellow sophomore Shania Osborne (Fairfield, Conn.) celebrated her birthday with a double-double of her own, netting 11 points and pulling down 17 boards and adding six blocks.

Sophomore Shania Shorter (Hartford, Conn.) scored 13 points in her first game of the season, while Alyson Reid (Boston) added nine points and Speedy Campbell (Boston) chipped with a 3-pointer in the victory.

Massasoit outrebounded Bunker Hill 71 to 32 and pulled down 29 offensive rebounds.

The Warriors shot 54.2 percent from the floor, making 39 of 72 attempts.

Massasoit (4-0, 2-0 R21) looks to stay unbeaten, traveling to Baltimore, Maryland for a pair of games this weekend, facing CCBC Cantonsville on Saturday and Howard CC on Sunday.
