MASSASOIT
Massasoit enters the regional tournament with an overall record of 8-13, after knocking off Springfield Tech in the MCCAC semifinals before falling to Roxbury in the finals last weekend in Springfield.

The Warriors average 63.3 points per game, led by a trio of sophomores who average double figures in Sierra Johnson (18.1), Courtney Foley (12.3) and Sienna Johnson (11.9).

Sierra has reached double figures in 20 of 21 games this year, surpassing the 20-point plateau on seven occasions.

Defensively, Massasoit is holding opponents to 59.9 points and is led in rebounds per game by sophomore forward Karen Snow (6.9).

ROXBURY
After claiming the MCCAC State title last weekend, the Tigers improved their ranking to No. 5 in the most recent NJCAA national poll.

Roxbury (16-6) averages 76.6 points per game and features four players that average more than 13 points per game in Destiny Hurt (14.4), Kayla Kelley (14.1), Charee Osborne (13.3) and Taylor Grant (13.5).

Osborne and Grant provide a force in the paint for the Tigers, as the duo combines to pull down 18.7 boards per contest.

Defensively, the Tigers are averaging 13.1 steals per game and allowing just 44.3 points per game.

MATCHUP
Massasoit has dropped all three meetings to Roxbury during the 2017-18 season, but the Warriors nearly knocked off the perineal power at home on February 6th, before fading the final minutes of a 70-58 loss.

Entering Saturday, Roxbury owns a 12-game win streak against Massasoit and the Tigers have won six of the last seven Region 21 Championships, including three in a row.

The last meeting between Massasoit and Roxbury when the Region 21 Tournament was held at Bunker Hill came during the 2013-14 campaign. Massasoit upset Roxbury in a triple-overtime instant classic in the Region 21 Finals to advance to the NJCAA National Tournament. That victory marks the last time the Warriors defeated the Tigers.
