CHARLESTOWN, Mass. ---- Sierra Johnson (Brockton) poured in a career-high 31 points as the Massasoit women's basketball team won in convincing fashion, 74-44 at Bunker Hill on Thursday night.
Massasoit improved to 2-0 with the victory and will take on St. Claire County of Michigan at Holyoke CC on Friday at 5 PM.
Sierra Johnson scored 22 points in the first half, including 14 in the opening quarter as the Warriors held a 38-20 advantage at the break.
Karen Snow (Duxbury), Julia Molnar (Scituate) and Anika Wright (Brockton) all added 10 points, while Sienna Johnson (Brockton) netted nine in the win.
Wright added 10 rebounds for a double-double for the Warriors.
Leidy Pena-Guerrero paced the Bulldogs with 18 points.
