CHARLESTOWN, Mass. ---- Three players scored 20-plus points, led by Laura Malley's (Halifax) career-high 25 and Geornaisha Silva-Moore (Brockton) tallied a triple-double as the Massasoit women's basketball team advanced to the MCCAC Championship with a 83-65 semifinals victory over Bunker Hill CC on Saturday.

Massasoit (9-13) will face top seed and nationally ranked Roxbury in the title game on Sunday at Bunker Hill slated for 1 p.m.

Malley poured in a career-best 25 points, 17 in the second half, paired with a career-high 17 rebounds as the Warriors topped the Bulldogs for the second time this week. Malley shot 12 of 17 from the floor.

"Sometimes it is tough to get up for playing a team for the third time, especially after we just beat (Bunker Hill) handedly this past Wednesday," head coach Taryn Johnson said. "But that is no excuse. We need to come with more energy tomorrow against Roxbury both offensively and defensively.

"Laura had a big game for us and Tati (Dias) and G (Silva-Moore) were solid as usual. We need everyone to really step up tomorrow and play as a team against Roxbury."

Silva-Moore posted the first triple-double of her career, netting 23 points paired with 13 boards and 10 assists. She also tallied six steals.

Tatiana Dias (Brockton) also scored 22 points along with seven boards and four assists.

Massasoit led 46-24 at the half.

Regina Exime led Bunker Hill (3-20) with 22 points.
